STUDLY~60s SANDOZ BABY PAM 1000M

Regular price $1,799.99 Sale

FOR SALE IS A RARE AND TOTALLY BADASS LATE 60s SANDOZ BABY “PAM” 1000M MIL-DIVER

  • CASE: CHUNKY ALL-STEEL CASE MEASURING 38mm NOT INCLUDING ORIGINAL SCREW-DOWN CROWN BY 48.3mm LUG TO LUG(WHICH GIVES THIS AN AWESOME WRIST PRESENCE). THIS CASE MAY LOOK FAMILIAR TO YOU BECAUSE IT WAS THE INSPIRATION FOR PANERAI DESIGN IN THE EARLY 2000s. I LOVE THE SCREWED LUGS AND THAT HEAVY CONSTRUCTION WHICH GIVES THIS DUDE A TOTAL TOOL FEEL. CONDITION IS KEY ON THIS DIVER WITH ALL THE UNPOLISHED FINISHES LOOKING FACTORY FRESH. THIS THING WEARS LIKE A DREAM AND WRAPS ERGONOMICALLY AROUND THE WRIST.

  • DIAL: SUPER COOL GLOSS BLACK DIAL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH  SIMPLE LAYOUT AND PLENTY OF AGED LUME. I TOTALLY DIG THAT DAGGER PLONGEUR STYLE DIVE HANDSET WITH AGED TRITIUM. ALL VIEWED UNDER ONE OF THE BIGGEST/HIGHEST DOMED ACRYLIC CRYSTALS FOR ITS TIME.....WHICH MAKES THIS THING LOOK TOTALLY TRIPPY AND SCI-FI(AND ALSO MAKES IT A COMPLETE BEAR TO PHOTOGRAPH)

  • MOVEMENT: THIS PIECE OF NAUTICAL EQUIPMENT RUNS ON A HIGH-GRADE 25 JEWEL SWISS A.SCHILD AUTOMATIC. WATCH IS KEEPING EXCELLENT TIME AND RUNNING STRONG. SERVICE HISTORY IS UNKNOWN BUT THIS ONE HAS BEEN BEHAVING WELL BOTH ON/OFF THE WRIST.

  • WATCH IS MOUNTED ON WHAT VERY WELL MAY BE THE ORIGINAL 19mm SWISS TROPIC STAR RUBBER STRAP. IT lOOKS LIKE SOMEONE TRIMMED THE TIP OF THR BOTTOM STRAP AT SOME POINT TO MAKE IT SHORTER. I KEPT IT ON FOR PERIOD CORRECTNESS, AND IT CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO A 7.5” WRIST.  THIS IS A TRUE DIVE WATCH LEGEND. ALONG WITH CLASSICS SUCH AS THE ZODIAC SUPER SEAWOLF, THE EARLY DOXA DIVERS, AND THE AQUADIVE BENTHOS, THE BABY “PAM” 1000m CASED DIVERS ARR DEFINITELY UP THERE AS ONE OF THOSE LATE 60s/EARLY 70s LARGE CASED FUNKY DIVERS MADE FOR REAL DEEP UNDERWATER EXPLORATION. THIS SAME CASE USED BY NIVADA GRENCHEN FOR THEIR DEPTHMASTER AS WELL AS THE ORIENT KINF DIVER. THIS IS A NICE EXAMPLE READY FOR ACTION!
