FOR SALE IS A STRIKING EARLY 60s SEIKO CHAMPION FLYING FISH 14082 MANUAL WINDER IN NEAR MINT CONDITION .
CASE: NEAR MINT SOLID STEEL CASE MEASURING A NICE 35.4mm. SUCH A SIMPLE AND ELEGANT DESIGN WITH THE THIN BEZEL AND SLIM PROFILE. BUT, FOR A WATCH OF THIS ERA IT IS QUITE LARGE AND WEARS NICELY DUE TO THAT THIN BEZEL/WIDE DIAL AND THAT LONG LUG TO LUG LENGTH. CHECK OUT CHECK OUT THOSE SHARP FACETS ON THOSE LUGS, AND YOU GOTTA LOVE THE DRILLED HOLES FOR EASY STRAP CHANGES. YOU CAN TELL THIS ONE WAS A TOTAL SAFE QUEEN EVIDENCED BY THAT MINTY SHARP TEXT ON THE CASEBACK.
DIAL: POSSIBLY SOME OF THE BEST FINISHING I'VE SEEN ON A VINTAGE SEIKO DIAL. THAT DEEP HEAVY GROOVED SUNBURST SILVER FINISH PRACTICALLY SLAPS YOU IN THE FACE. THE WAY THE SUN PLAYS OFF THIS DIAL IS INSANE.....ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR. ALL TIES TOGETHER WITH A CLASSIC MID CENTURY LAYOUT WITH APPLIED STEEL BATONS AND A CLEAN SET OF DAUPHINE HANDS. SO GOOD
MOVEMENT: THIS GENTLEMAN RUNS ON A 17 JEWEL IN-HOUSE SEIKO CAL.MANUAL WINDER. SERVICE HISTORY IS UNKNOWN, BUT THE WATCH HAS BEEN KEEPING EXCELLENT TIME MONITORED OVER WEEKS OF ON/OFF WEAR
WATCH IS MOUNTED ON THE ORIGINAL 5 LINK BRACELET WHICH LOOKS SUPER SWANKY ON THIS BAD BOY. BRACELET CAN ACCOMODATE UP TO A 7.5" WRIST. THIS IS NOT A SEIKO THAT YOU RUN ACROSS.....WELL, HARDLY EVER. IF YOU ARE A TRUE COLLECTOR OF THIS FABLED JAPANESE BRAND, YOU NEED TO JUMP ON THIS ONE. IN ADDITION TO BEING SUPER RARE, THIS MODEL IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ON THE WRIST. SEIKO AT ITS FINEST.
