FOR SALE IS A SUPER COOL FEBRUARY 1971 SEIKO 6139-8002 SPEEDTIMER IN REALLY SHARP CONDITION WITH ORIGINAL FISHBONE BRACELET.
- CASE: SEXY AND SOLID ALL STEEL CASE IN NEAR MINT CONDITION MEASURING 40.5mm ACROSS CASE NOT INCLUDING ORIGINAL RECESSED CROWN BY 44mm LUG TO LUG. I LOVE THE TONNEAU STYLE CASE WITH THE SLOPED TOPS WHICH IS BOTH FUNKY AND CHUNKY AND ALSO SOPHISTICATED. THE BLACK ENAMEL BEZEL RING GIVES THIS ONE A NICE POP OF CONTRAST. THE CONDITION IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING WITH ALL ORIGINAL LINES AND FINISHES LOOKING CRISP AND UNPOLISHED.
- DIAL: THIS DIAL AND HANDSET IS REALLY WHAT SELLS THIS WATCH. CHECKOUT THAT PSYCHEDELIC VERTICAL BRUSHED GRADIENT DIAL WHICH MORPHS FROM MIDNIGHT BLUE TO PURPLE AND GREY DEPENDING ON THE WAY THE LIGHT IS HITTING IT. I LOVE THAT SUNKEN SUBDIAL AT 6 WITH THAT POP OF BLUE WHICH LOOKS AWESOME. NICELY PRESERVED LUME LOOKS FANTASTIC AND CONSISTENT IN ITS COLORATION FROM THE DIAL TO THOSE WHITE/BLACK HANDS. THE KANJI DAY WHEEL IS A NICE TOUCH.
- MOVEMENT: THIS SEIKO RUNS ON THE FAMOUS COLUMN WHEEL IN-HOUSE CALIBER 6139 WHICH IS RUNNING BEAUTIFULLY. THIS ONE HAS BEEN KEEPING EXCELLENT TIME AND ALL CHRONO FUNCTIONS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. BOTH DAY/DATE ARE QUICKSET AND FUNCTION FLAWLESSLY. I WILL NOTE THAT THE CHRONO SWEEPER RESETS A 1/2 MILLIMETER FROM FULL ZERO BUT STILL SITS SOLIDLY ON THE 12 LUME PLOT.....JUST THOUGHT I'D MENTION.
WATCH IS MOUNTED ON ITS ORIGINAL SEIKO SPEEDTIMER SIGNED FISHBONE STYLE BRACELET IN AMAZING NEAR MINT CONDITION. I HAVE IT SIZED RIGHT NOW FOR A 7" WRIST, AND IT STILL HAS 4 ADDITIONAL MICRO-ADJUSTMENTS(USING THE INCLUDED CLASP EXTENDER). THIS IS VINTAGE SEIKO AT ITS BEST: FUNKY, WELL-FINISHED, AND BADASS. THIS IS A REALLY NICE EXAMPLE OF ONE OF MY FAVORITES FROM THE 6139 LINE OF CHRONOGRAPHS. WHAT A GROOVY JDM MODEL!
