FOR SALE IS A SHARP AND MEGA SWANKY OCTOBER 1969 KING SEIKO HI-BEAT 5626-7000 RECENTLY SERVICED AND IN UNPOLISHED AND ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION.
- CASE: SEXY AND SNAZZY MONO-BLOC CASE MEASURING IN AT 37mm NOT INCLUDING ORIGINAL KING SEIKO SIGNED CROWN BY 42mm LUG TO LUG. THIS IS ONE OF THE CLASSIC LATE 60s-70s EXAMPLES OF SEIKO'S "GRAMMAR OF DESIGN" PUT OUT BY TARO TANAKA. CASE IS IN NICE AND CLEAN UNPOLISHED CONDITION AND LOOKS REAL SHARP. THERE ARE SOME MINOR HAIRLINES AND A FEW SMALL DINGS BUT OVERALL THIS THING LOOKS SUPER AWESOME. THIS ONE WEARS BIG AND HAS A REAL SOLID FEEL TO IT. I PARTICULARLY LOVE THE GOLD KING SEIKO MEDALLION ON THE CASEBACK.
- DIAL: GORGEOUS SUNBURST SILVER FACE WITH ELEGANT APPLIED STEEL/BLACK MARKERS WHICH ADD A NICE SENSE OF DEPTH. THOSE DAGGER STEEL HANDS WITH THE BLACK STRIP THAT RUNS UP THE CENTER LOOK SO LETHAL. YOU REALLY HAVE TO SEE THIS ONE IN PERSON TO UNDERSTAND THE QUALITY OF FINISH ON THIS FACE. CHECK OUT THAT KANJI/ENGLISH DAY WHEEL!!! ALL VIEWED UNDER A SUPER CLEAN NOS CRYSTAL.
- MOVEMENT: THIS GENT RUNS ON A 25 JEWEL HI-BEAT SEIKO 5626 AUTOMATIC BEATING AT 28880 BPH. WATCH IS RUNNING NICELY WITH A GOOD POWER RESERVE AND NICE TIMEKEEPING. WATCH WAS RECENTLY SERVICED AND IS RUNNING REALLY SMOOTH. WHAT'S COOL ABOUT THIS MOVEMENT IS THAT YOU CAN REGULATE THE TIME WITHOUT OPENING UP THE MOVEMENT BY TURNING A SMALL SCREW BETWEEN THE BOTTOM LUGS.
- WATCH IS MOUNTED ON A SIMPLE BLACK GERMAN STITCHESS FLAT STRAP WHICH LOOKS REALLY REFINED ON THIS BEAUTY. THESE KING SEIKOS ARE RARE TO COME BY IN GOOD CONDITION. IT'S HARD TO FIND ONE THAT HASN'T HAD ALL THE EDGES AND CHAMFERS POLISHED OUT. THIS IS AN HONEST CLEAN EXAMPLE FROM THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE RUN OF THIS MODEL. SHE WEARS AMAZINGLY AND EXUDES LUXURY AND REFINEMENT. BECAUSE OF ITS BLOCKY/EDGY SHAPE AND NICE WIDE DIAMETER, THIS WEARS LIKE A MODERN WATCH. THIS IS ONE YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUT ON.
